&lt;p&gt;The part that is missing simply screws onto the actual couterweight which is inside the tonearm so no your deck isn&amp;#39;t ruined&lt;img src="http://forum.beoworld.org/emoticons/01.gif" alt="Smile" /&gt; If anything it will now be tracking at a slightly lower force than it was due to the weight of the slider missing, this would explain your records sounding &amp;quot;thin&amp;quot; as there isn&amp;#39;t quite enough force applied to the stylus now. You can still adjust the tracking force by moving the weight using a pointed object via the small screw hole underneath where the slider was attached. Just move it in very small increments toward the stylus until you get the correct sound levels that&amp;nbsp;you had before or preferably use a tracking weight/scale&amp;nbsp;adjustment kit.&lt;/p&gt;
