Generally when I put oil on motor axle the toneram is moved at the starting point of record. When I put << key I can move the toneram but it isn't smoothly, in some cases toneram run with pluck.

Before applied oil the tomeram was moved at the starting point of record but when I putted << key it wasn't move and after about one second the < indicator lighted very weakly. I think that it was effect that the force from my inadequate belt is too high. I hope that servo motor is OK.

Coudl you inform me what will be a cost of belt for Beogram 8002 and also the both belts for Beogram 5005 ( I have the old items in my second Beogram) with shipment to Poland.

My email ***.pl

I also have some problem with toneram in Beogram 8002.

When I bough it the toneram was move to slowly becouse belt was to long.

I bough new 2.6 cm diameter belt but yesterday I have been have a problem with move the toneram using >> and << keys (servo motor doesn't started). I some lubricated it's axle and now is correct, but I think that the correct belt must have other dimension.

Do you know what is correct belt diameter ?

Best Regards

the motor runs fine and the belt has been cleaned. It seems to not want to initiate no light comes on when the play is pressed the platter spins. If I rotate the long screw to move the tone arm it then kicks in and moves and plays nicely but wont return automatically at the end but will if I press stop?? It was working before being shipped to me.

Thanks again

Grab a capacitor kit and replace the lot and check for cracked
solders, especially around connectors and in the power supply areas.
Last part requires a but of electronic skills.

on closer inspection and experimentation what it seems to fail to do is recognise play and initiate any movt but if I passively turn the thread the switch suddenly kicks in and the lights come on and I can forward and reverse once over the record pressing play the arm lowers and plays reaches the end of the record but wont automatically return but will return when I press stop.

Basically it is not recognising the initial play command and doesnt return automatically. In my basic electronic head is it the switch with the little contact arm or caps??

Many Thanks

I had exactly the same problem, and the fault was caused because a fine brush had become lodged in the innards of the tangential drive system under the platter when the previous owner moved the deck.

I'm sure someone else will be along who is more electrically profficient than me who may be able to take you through what to look for.

Beogram 8002 Tone arm wont move

Hi

Recently required a Beogram 8002. When I went to play a record nothing happens!! Lights come on saying 33.33 but no attempt at any movt from the tonearm. There is a normal hum but it desnt look like the motor to move the arm is moving??

Is this a cap problem or something simple?? It was an ebay purchase there was no damage to the beogram on arrival and it was supposed to be working before.

Any ideas??

Many Thanks
