Hi Martin:

The belt is quite loose and actually chould be changed because it slips a bit so it is not pulling the platter over.

The front most leaf spring won't adjust enough to compensate. I can get it to lift but it also lifts the part in the front transport lock to the point where it touches the roof of the collar.

The question the begs, well can't you lower the two leaf springs behind?

I have tried and have made things worse. The threaded peg with nut and washer assembly claping down on the leaf spring is most difficult to align. Do you know how to set this up properly? Ie how high rods should be and how far down the lower nut should be?

I fished this thing out of a garbage can and so many things are out not where they should be!

A too tight platter belt will pull the platter towards the motor. There will almost always be a little pull like this or the belt will not be tight enough.
You could try without a belt installed and see if that's the reason.

Won't the front-most leaf spring adjust enough to compensate for the dip ? Is the surface on which the Beogram stands exact horizontal ?

Hi:

Does anyone have an idea how to "center" the platter on the BG4002 so that the platter is equidistant from edges of the deck plate?

Also I haven't been able to get the platter completely level with the deck plate in that it is on a bit of an incline. The edge of the platter is nearly flush towards the back but dips a bit up front.
