Thanks Geoff, that does help.

The switch cover got lost in transit so I couldn't be sure I wasn't being particularly stupid, but now I know i'm not I can relax, thanks for that!

Hi chrisbiscit

I think that you will have to revert to the manual mode that you outlined. According to the original instruction manual, the following options are available:

30cm records - Press 33

17cm records - Press 45

25cm records - Move pickup to first groove and press 33

Special 17 cm records, 33rpm - Move pickup to first groove and press 33

I hope somebody can advise me on this. On this deck as far as I can tell if I press one side of the button it will play a twelve inch record at 33rpm, if I press the other it will play a seven inch at 45rpm. How do I get it to play a twelve inch at 45rpm without physically moving the arm back to the start of the twelve inch record? Or does it not have this facility because of the year of manufacture? Any help much appreciated.
