Thanks for your reply. My deck, which is most definately B & O only has the two speeds 33 & 45 there is no 78! And there is no facility to use a strobe as there is no marking on the turntable itself. The only way I can envisage timing is by using a mark on the outer ring of the t/table together with a stopwatch and counting the revs. Do you have any further suggestions?

The knob should adjust the turntable. If you upgrade to silver or gold membership you should be able to download a user manual. Shine a light over the turntable and a strobed effect should appear. Use the knob to adjust the speed (best done at 33). If that knob is not changing the speed then there is a deeper problem.

Hi I've been lucky enough to become the owner of the above model. I know it's getting on in years but everything works well and it's in very good condition. Can someone please tell me what sort of drive the turntable has as there is a problem with the turntable speed, I can't get either the 33 or 45 the operate at the correct speed, both are down by about 10% ie. 33 runs at 30rpm and there is similar speed loss at 45. The 33/45 speed selector has a knurled centre piece which presumably should enable me to "fine tune" but this has litle or no effect! Can anyone offer a solution?
