It is EXACTLY THE SAME chemical mix that is in packs of BABY WIPES (I did the chemical analysis) that you get in the likes of LIDL - 80PENCE FOR A PACK OF 80 WIPES! These will clean just about anything off of everything and will not harm the surface of plastics etc. You should have seen the crap they took off my newly acquired B&O stuff.

This economy tip comes of being:-

1. However I obviously did not know to pay part. attention to said brass pin and it's guiding tube..........very light grade liquid teflon might be an idea here. Dilute cycle grade liquid teflon about 1 drop +3- 5 drops solvent of choice (isopropanol, methanol or white spirit) works wonders with shuttle solenoid valves on clinical analysers........................

Great forum - thanks - hope my specialist knowledge might humbly be of use in the future.

Best regards,

Doc.

Re: beogram 2400 tone arm problem

Dr Bryan.....
A while ago, we talked a member through this fix, I think the Beogram 2400 is the same layout as the one in this thread. About half way through the thread is a photo' of the offending brass pin.
If this is no help, get back to us and I'm sure between us we'll get you sorted.

Andy T.

Re: beogram 2400 tone arm problem

Just bear with me a moment Bryan, I'll see what I can find for you.
Welcome to Beoworld, by the way.

Andy T.

Re: beogram 2400 tone arm problem

Martin - thanks for your reassuring words, but I've already done a search or several hundred! and came up empty - which is why I posted the question ...........................respectfully yours,

Dr. Bryan H.M.
