Which Beogram 3000? The older radial decks do have replaceable styluses, though these can be tricky to find as well. They do however seem to be cheaper and the suspension seems less prone to failure.

I'm afraid the stylus is non replaceable, you must replace the whole cartridge. More bad news, the only place to buy them is www.sound-smith.com and they are around $150 plus carriage!

You could try eBay for a s/h one but this is not recommended as it is impossible to judge the condition.

Hi, everyone. My problem is that I recently found a B&O Beogram 3000 in my parent's garage. I' ve been trying to get a good, working sound system going for a while. My problem is with my Beogram 3000 stylus/cartridge. To be honest, I don't know too much about turntables (as normal use was before my time) but I'd love to learn! So, the issue is that the needle itself broke off. So now I'm left wondering, 1) what do I actually need to replace? Is it possible to replace just the needle or do I have to buy a whole new cartride? And if I can simply replace the needle, where can I go to do so? 2) On a website, I saw that replacement cartridges run upwards of $150. Are there any acceptable alternatives in the form of generic multi-brand replacement cartridges that I could use as an interim cartridge until I can afford a B&O cartridge? Any help, info, or knowledge anyone might impart would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
