I've left nice, warm, tropical Brasil, and am presently in North America buying a Mediacentre PC case and computer parts to take back with me. And I'm freezing.

It may be the speed of your PC, but most likely it is the fact that your PC has been " conditioned " to go to autoscan, as a rule. Initally this was my experience, until I started scanning the drive manually each time I download an MP3 or ripped a CD..

If in N.MUSIC, you click SCAN and the PC runs to autoscan, let it run it's course until completed. Then ( before it hides or is closed ) click the white drive selection box ( C,D,E, etc.) and click START to run the scan again for the selected drive. It should do what you want.

Bon Chance.

Re: Beoport N.Music number of tracks in albums all wrong

Hi again, swiss2, how do I access the white drive selection box? Mine seems to automatically go to autoscan

Re: Beoport N.Music number of tracks in albums all wrong

Thanks, Swiss 2, I'll try your suggestion. No more sitting alone and unloved!

Re: Beoport N.Music number of tracks in albums all wrong

Thorne;

I hate to see you sitting out there, waiting for an answer. Hopefully, this will be of help.

I purchased my Beoport when the units first came out, and it would sometimes do this. Or split an album into two, describing the second half as unknown. I found that by clicking the N.MUSIC white drive selection box in SCAN, rather than let it go on autoscan (Orange colour), I could avoid this from reoccurring.

A the same time, where I had no video clip files before, now I can watch those, one after another, non-stop.

As the update versions have increased over the years, the problems appear to have stopped. It is possible that trying RECONFIG, or even to delete the program itself and the download and reinstall may solve the problem you are experiencing.

I'm on holiday at the moment, but will be building another " 5 year PC " when I return with more HD, B-R/DVD, memory, and speed, etc. I have a great number of albums loaded, and have to back-up onto external HD or lose it. I'm thinking about what effect ( hopefully none ) the new system may have on the Beoport,

Re: Beoport N.Music number of tracks in albums all wrong

Can no one help me with this?

Beoport N.Music number of tracks in albums all wrong

When I'm in N.Music, the albums listed on the left hand side have often got the wrong number of tracks in brackets - roughly twice as many.

Any thoughts?
