Hi B,

Yes, it should be possible to change the setting to 1 display only.

Do you know what brand / type of graphics-card you have ?
See if you can locate the configuration-software in the Control Panel,
there is the standard Windows "Display"-pane where you can select the display-settings,
but frequently there also is a settings-pane from the graphics-card itself,
like f.e. "NVIDEA Control Panel" or similar.
Usually, you can select/deselect multiple displays there.

Yes it is set to multiple displays! There are 3 actually. I don't need the multiple displays, I only use the laptop screen. Is it possible to change that setting to one display only. I'm using windows XP Pro

Do you have another display connected as well ?
Or is the graphics-card perhaps set to multiple displays ?
(reason i ask is that on my previous laptop the same thing happened)

Having a problem with my laptop! I set the screen resolution to 1023 x 768 (Which is recommended by the manufacturer as well)

Problem is 99% of the time the computer will almost be finished booting (correct screen resolution will be showing) when it will reset itself to to the lowest resolution! I have tried everything! Once or twice it'll load fine but the majority of the time it resets! Of course all my desktop icons go all over the place.

I hope someone has an idea for me
