I like to hear your opinions on the earphones aswell.

Here is my Nvidea card and driver thats it using after I updated from HP site on februari. Although it made MOHA play smoother and react faster it still stall on lowest resolution from time to time.

Crysis is jerky. Beautifull graphics but not really playable working like it should.

I assume the graphics could be more tweaked with beta drivers but i`m afraid it would mess some features concerning the rest of the laptop as stated in note from Nvidea below.

I think the system is not totally using its capabilities as for example I changed the normal optical wired mouse with the wireless MX airmouse. The later is much faster, more accurate and generally outperforms the wired mouse. Which stunned me to be honest.

Nvidea scan of my laptop pc HP dv9595ed system.

Product

Current
Installed Driver

Recommended
Driver

NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS

167.43

HP requires that you download the driver for your GPU from their support site.

You can find more information at: http://www.hp.com.

The GeForce M series and GeForce Go series notebook GPUs use drivers that have been customized by the notebook manufacturers to support hot key functions, power management functions, lid close and suspend/resume behavior. NVIDIA has worked with some notebook manufacturers to provide notebook-specific driver updates, however, most notebook driver updates must come from the notebook manufacturer. Additionally, the desktop GeForce graphics drivers will not install on Geforce M series and Quadro M series notebook GPU's.

Regards

Re: info apreciated

Re graphics capabilities - Geforce 8400 does support DX10 and should play the games you mention. Last was the airmouse. Pfhhh it was a bit off a hastle to get it. I am using an Experiabox ,which when I consulted customer service did not support Vista. Reading on the net and searching I came to the conclusion to try it anyway and it works as a charme.

Maybe a tip for those who had trouble with the experiabox in the Netherlands. Before trying wireless first make conection to the experiabox with your cables. Then make use of the internet functions and scan print functions. This goes for the printer aswell as for the laptop. I use the WPA2 encryption.

Only slight dissapointment concerning is that the laptop is not performing as I would wish on dx10 games like MOHA, BIOSHOCK and CRYSIS. not that I need to play it desperatly. But they seem the heaviest on the video specs on the PC. So I can see how it is performing. I cant play the games on the highest resolution level and Crysis is even not realy flowing playable at lowest resolution. I used the HP update driver for NVidea on febr 2008.

Somehow I thought the video specs should be enough to cover all bases even of these games. Maybe Vista is all in all more demanding on video and memmory. The driver update did make a big differance so if anyone has a DV9595ed working tip top on these games I could use the pointers.

Airmouse really is a nice mouse! best mouse I could find, which matches B&O style

I need new earphones, but as all is wireless I was thinking wireless might be an option so pointers on that are all so welcome. I already have a sennheiser RS 140 wireless for BC1 but somehow its a bit heavy or not so comfortable when wearing long. I thought of the new wireless pods as shown here

Well anyway thx for all input.

Regards EOB

Re: info apreciated

Well, if you want to keep your wireless safe I would highly suggest that you use WPA2-PSK encryption instead of WEP.
