Have you tried to enable Windows Audio in Windows Server. As long as it&#39;s not enabled Windows will not work properly with a sound card. The sound that is sent out on the masterlink is analog so it&#39;s not like streaming in that context. </p> <p>I have tried to install Beoport on my W2008 and the installation went fine, but the server will not recognize the internal sound card. I&#39;m now thinking of getting a new sound card for the server (<a href="http://www.asus.com/Multimedia/Audio_Cards/Xonar_Essence_ST/">http://www.asus.com/Multimedia/Audio_Cards/Xonar_Essence_ST/</a>). Sometimes also the software behaives a bit strange when do changes in the settings. The server is already running 24h, so there would be no need to keep a second machine running.</p> <p>As far as I understand Beoport streams music over masterlink to a compatible audio system.</p> <p>How does everything else work ? Does it work like streaming videos/music from a nas ? I currently have this windows 2003 server and a playstation 3 to stream movies from the server to my tv.
