I have removed BeoPort v5 and re-installed, and all is working fine now! One happy chappy :-) nlb.

You may need to go into SETUP - SOURCES and then add it from the list again ?

I know when I did the install as a clean install ( remove the old version first ) all the extra sources we missing.

But they were all added back no problem.

I have the software running on 3 PC's (all XP Pro) runs fine and all pull N music thats stored on a NAS box on the network.

Why if the S/W is only for those lucky enough to have Beomaster 5 does the S/W ask if you have a Beosystem 5 connected and then allow you to click NO and the install completes no problem ?

Please note that BeoPlayer v.5.0 is intended for setups with the BeoMaster 5 only. B&O will continued to issue updates and support for the "old" BeoPlayer S/W, and currently v.4.83 should be used by all other setups.

Frank, thanks for the info, have (I think) changed the admin rights, so now no error message, but still no app running. click on N.music and nothing. Humm, think I will have to revert to the old version. Shame as v5.00 is very nice! nlb. PS How do I login as admin, my user profile in Vista is admin!

You are fine if your user account has admin rights, no need to have an admin account. Too bad Beoport v5 does not work.

OH, downloaded and installed and all worked fine. BUT on PC re-boot N.music and N.radio etc are all dead "APP CRASH" error. What do I do now? PC running Vista SP1

I had problems with Vista on the old version. Problem was that all the B&O modules need admin rights. I have fixed through giving access to all users to the B&O directory. You can try if that's the problem by logging in as admin and if it works then, you know what to do.

No significant difference than the 4.83 for Beoport. I guess that the only chang is for Beosound/Beoaster5 compatibility like the one issued for the Beomedia1.

And this version is not compatible with Beomedia1!!!

So I guess that for normal users of Beoport it should not be upgraded.

Afterall it is not on the Beoport download software. There they still have the 4.83

I have installed it just now. Installation fine over version 4.83. (Repair option). All data oke.

They have added 4 color play lists. Easy access via colored buttons on the BEO4. Great!

Putting photo's or movies in these lists starts a photo list or movie direct.... Great improvement.

I have just aquired an IR Eye for the Beoport. Selecting N.Music or N.Radio works great with BEO4.

Now we need to know the way to give the Photo command with a BEO4. Can a BEO5 do this?

Are there (hidden) buttoms to show the playlists?
