Basically i configured the beolab 3500 to option 2, and have both connections still plugged in.

Works perfectly from Beoport software, along with music I can use the photos and N radio. The CLOCK also works (although for some reason the hours are showing wrong at the moment ? ive not worked this out yet but the minutes work fine. All the volume and controls work perfectly via my Beo 4 control.

I will look up the upgrade to get n.music & n.radio to display on the front panel.

cheers

Also i think the lab3500 has to have the latest software installed ( not an expensive upgrade)

Thought that all the SW upgrade did was allow the Beolab 3500 to Display N.Radio and N.Music. If it is not upgraded it will dipslay Phono and Tape 2. Although all the controls are the same I believe.

I don't think you can do it.

Beoport has to have a beomaster in the link ie a beosound 3000, 3200 or 9000

Also i think the lab3500 has to have the latest software installed ( not an expensive upgrade)

there is one other option and that's a company in France that sells a kit that makes a lab3500 into a powerlink unit (it's about 200 euros)

Have a search on this site and you will find a thread that gets to them

Feel free to reply if you need more help

Ive had a Beolink PC2 box sitting around doing nothing for over a year along with a lab 3500 sat on the wall not being used, so this week decided to hook then both up in my home office ....but having a few probs.

1. Ive installed Beoport software which all seems to work fine coming through my PC speakers (Harman Kardon). (apart from a hissing noise every now and then which is strange as i do not get this if playing music from media player or itunes .... any ideas here ???)

2. I installed the beolink PC2 to the computer (USB cable) and ran cables to the beolab 3500 .... I have run both a masterlink cable straight from the PC2 box along with a Powerlink Mk 2 cable.

Problems.

1st I get NO sound from my Beolab 3500 ??

2nd Should this configuration i.e a beolink PC2 connected directly to the Beolab 3500 (with masterlink and powerlink) enable the display (time) on my 3500 ?? As currently I get nothing, in the manual it says this only works on certain configs ??

Any help would be great.
