Exactly my opinion. If I was to connect a pair of passive B&O speakers to my computer, I'd definately consider the Sonic T-Amp.

I have an old 55wpc Technics receiver hidden away powering the CX100's next to my monitor, works great, and it only takes a reach under my desk to alter the volume.

I'd go with Peter on this one - beomaster 5500 is a truly excellent amp with tons of input connections which are duplicated in RCA/phono & DIN. It is remote controllable with a beolink 1000 or the combersome MCP5500 - which you would need to adjust volume etc.... If remote control isn't a problem then a beomaster 5000 has the same inputs and has manual buttons hidden under a drop down flap and is probably a better amp although most will be in need of a bit of TLC to get back to 1000% working order - these can also be remotely controlled with either the terminal 5000 or MCP5000. Both are very robust tuner/amps though and seldom break down.

Me? I have PC to Beoport to Beomaster 3000 to Redline 45s. It's great!

When I had CX100's as my PC speakers, I used a Beomaster 2000. Sounded very good as Peter has already said.

I use CX100s with my Mac. Minijack from the audio out to the tape 2 input on a Beomaster 5500 . CXs attached to 5500. Excellent sound!

Having an old pair of B&O CX loudspeakers I would like to use with my PC - anyone got some info on what I need in terms of cableadaptors and amplifiers to make it work ??
