&lt;p&gt;It behaves on a lower level than Aliases, so it *should* work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If not, just set iTunes to use your external HDD for music &amp; movies, and rip the movies with &lt;b&gt;HandBrake&lt;/b&gt;. Any idea?
