I have tried various things, but after I chose to play music both locally and via the AE it does not do it anymore. Even more strangely it has stopped doing it when I play only via AE now. I followed the installation manual and set it up and I can now play music on my BC2 wirelessly - however the sound keeps dropping out.

Have anyone seen this before?

My setup is Lenovo T60 laptop (T7600+3GBRAM) connected via 54Mbps WIFI to a SpeedTouch ADSL2 modem/router and so is the AirPort Express. The router is in the living room as is the AirPort Express. The laptop is in my office just next to the living room but still has 100% signal strength. Encryption is WPA and WIFI channel is 8 (no one else uses 8 when I browse for WIFI networks).

When monitoring the WIFI network usage from my laptop I use approx 1% when only playing music via iTunes/AirPort Express combo. iTunes version is 7.6.0.29. CPU usage between 1% to 2%.

What is very strange is that my iTunes display showing the track and time stops whenever the sound breaks and the continues again once the sound resumes. The times are random, sometimes it will play 10 seconds without breaking and sometimes 2 seconds. The iTunes equalizer is also behaving strangely as it is lagging behind and stops showing anything a few seconds after the music breaks.

Once I play the music in iTunes only (de-selecting my AirPort Express) there are no problems what-so-ever.

Any ideas?

Christian
