&lt;p&gt;As far as I know, there shouldn&amp;#39;t be any problems exept that the older ipods charges its battery on one of the other &amp;quot;pins&amp;quot; in the connection plug. I also have an older ipod touch (1st gen, I think), but when I connect it to the Beosound, no audio is played. It appears to playing the track, and the Beosound remote lets me change track and change the volume level, but no audio is heard. I believe the ipod has the latest firmware.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is the 1st gen iPod touch compatable with the Beosound 8? Any other suggestions? Thanks&lt;/p&gt;
