As the iPod internal DAC is poor, I am going to use a docking station that by-passes the iPod internal DAC and&amp;nbsp;that sends a digital signal to an external DAC.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Two models seem to do that quite well in terms of sound quality: the Wadia 170 iTransport (or its successor 171 iTransport)&amp;nbsp;and the Onkyo ND-S1.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Does anyone have experience with these ones? Which one would you recommend?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I understand that the iPod screen/navigation wheel may not be functional when docked?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
