Having now changed some settings in the "Audio Midi Setup" the volume is now fine in the two link rooms but soft on the speakers connected directly to Beoport which is fine as I do not turn the volume up very loud on the speakers with the computer.

Re: iTunes Masterlink question

Thanks! Let me ask this though here is our setup Room 1 iMac, Beoport, Beolab 4000, Room 2 Beolab 6000s, Room 3 Beovision 7/Beosound 3000 and speakers

CD in Beosound 3000 works perfectly in room 2 and room 3 which would seem to me to indicate all Masterlink connections between room 2 and 3 are fine.

iTunes works fine in Rooms 1 and 2 which seems to indicate Masterlink connections to Room 1 are fine.

As an Audio Master is needed don't the iTunes go from Room 1 with the iMac/Beoport to Room 3 with the Beosound 3000/Audio Master and then to Room 2, which works fine? If that is the case then it seems all connections are fine.

Or does iTunes go directly from Room 1 to Room 2 and Bypass the Beosound 3000/Audio Master with it only being used for some sort of control such that the control portion of the Masterlink is connected fine but the music portion is not?

My guess would be a bad connection on the MasterLink somewhere. If you've a spare ML cable worth trying to elimate to leg that is usually used and connect the quiet system via the new cable and see what this does for you.

Best,

One room has a pair of Beolab 6000s. The other room has a Beovision 7, Beosound 3000, and Beolab 9s. The room with the Beolab 6000s works fine. The problem is that in the room with 9s the volume is very low. I have to turn the volume almost up to full and it still is not loud. Any thoughts why the sound would be so much softer/lower in one room than in the other?

This problem did not exist with our old PC.
