We have Apple TV connected and the PUC is set to Apple Remote. It works very well. Here is the weird problem. When the Apple TV is turned off, if I press N. Music on the Beo 4 or Sat on the Beo 4 the selected source turns on correctly, but the Apple TV also turns on. One can actually see the IR emitter flashing and then the Apple TV turns on. Thus it is impossible to leave Apple TV turned. Anybody else ever seen this problem?

Re: Apple remote PUC code

hi yeah i forgot to post this sorry

To solve the problem I configurate the RemoteBuddy. On "exit" the mac mini goes to standby. It's not very comfortable because there are a lot of orders missing.

How can i tell if i have the new one?

edit: Also the BV7 does not turn off the Apple TV when follwo TV is selected.

edit2: just spoke to my dealer and he looked on the service tool and there is only one puc for apple remote now and no reference to repeat function buttons.

The Apple remote actually uses standard 32 bit NEC protocol which DOES support repeat function.

So, if you have the early version of the Apple remote loaded into your PUC, then the repeat function will not work correctly. However, the newer version which actually uses the correct NEC format does support repeat/continous. This version of the Apple Remote for the PUC was created by B&O in April 2008 and made available to dealers.

Therefore if your PUC has been updated since April 2008 and includes the Apple Remote, then you are almost certainly got the latest NEC version which should work correctly. Any PUC loaded before that time will have the RAW version which will have the problem highlighted.

Re: Apple remote PUC code

Yes mine was apple remote too.
