Which menu are you mentioning here? The BeoVision 7 menu, the Beovision 7 APPLE menu or the APPLE menu?

Which update? The APP SW for the BV7 or a new PUC/STB SW?

Thx in advance..

And have a nice weekend

I have an itouch but I rarely use the remote app. To be honest I am not sure if it can deal with selecting videos or buying content from the itunrs store. I just checked the website, it talks only about music, not full control.

If you want to avoid the software update, the Apple TV "can" learn third party remotes. It can't deal with the Beo4, but if you use an existing STB/PUC from your list and sttach the cable, you should find a product that support the navidation cross (includng holding up down fast reverse and go) as well as the exit key. I am sure that this can be made work.

Cheers

JK

Thanks! The iTouch can be used to purchase music from the store. In fact, I find it easier on the iTouch than on the computer. But I do see what you mean, it might not be possible to purchase movies.

Our BV7 software does not have Apple TV in it. I plan to use an iTouch as the remote for it. Is there any reason to have the software updated to allow Beo 4 control if I will be using the iTouch?

Re: BeoVision 7 - 40 / APPLE TV

You can go to the standby option through the menu. If you have the latest version, it should be somewhere under settings. Holding down the "Go" button will not work.

That entry for standby in the ATV menu structure came with the last update. I used it once, I believe it doesn't save much power.
