However, by installing the ATV Flash software hack (http://www.atvflash.com/product_info.php?products_id=27) you can play widescreen content on a 4:3 TV. Use the DVD player software and simply open a video file in whatever format (AVI. MOV, MP4 etc). The software adds black bars at the top and bottom of the screen and effectively "letterboxes" the content. No more stretched pictures!

I am using ATV Flash with my Beovision MX7000 (4:3 screen) and it works very well.

Good luck!

Re: LX2800 and Apple TV

Unfortunatly it is not possible to display 4:3 with the Apple TV :( that why I'm trying to find a solution on the TV.

Thanks

Re: LX2800 and Apple TV

You would need to feed a signal in 4:3 format with black strips or cut image as the TV itself will not display in any other format.

Brian

LX2800 and Apple TV

I received an Apple TV for Christmas and I used a very easy hack to connect it to the TV via composite: http://www.tuaw.com/2007/10/08/found-footage-apple-tv-composite-hack-in-full-color/

Now I have the image in color but only output 16:9 video, as you can imagine the image doesn't have the right proportion.

Is there a way to change the image format on the LX2800 (add black strips or cut the image)?

Thanks

Vincent
