In theory yes. In practice, because of the special VAT scheme used for secondhand goods where VAT must not be shown as a separate item on invoices, it is neither possible or legal, as far as I know.

The last 9300 to Aus had 2 cardboard boxes at around a fiver each and 40 metres of 750mm wide large bubble wrap to protect it. Cost around £25 in all

The next 9300 that I sell to Aus I will stick a stamp on the envelope and pack it in 50c worth of bubble and see how it goes!!

It seems not, I'd be particularly miffed if I found out AFTER the fact that I had incurred extra hidden costs. It's quite deceitful IMO

BTW Paypal and eBay fees are the price you pay to reach a larger target market.

They're a cost you know you will bear before you list something on ebay... Use gumtree or craigslist if you don't like the fees

Shipping prices have gotten rather expensive over here.

UPS ground, used domestically is very inexpensive (I ship/buy auto parts as part of another hobby....let's not get into that!) Once you receive the item, feel free to message me the details: dimensions/weight and your location (town/code/country) and I can use my UPS account to get a price quote to see how close it is.

Incidentally, I purchased a Beosound 1 from an ebay vendor in Vienna: flat shipping to the US cost $20. Arrived with a slightly dented corner.

And let's not get into the quality of packing: I'm waiting for FEDEX to finish an insurance claim on a pair of BL 3500's that I purchased through ebay: thin foam wrapped, then shipped standing vertically in a U-Haul mover's box made for golf club bags or plants. All of the air cushioning that was tossed betwen & around the speakers was either popped or settled to the bottom. When tipping the box from side to side, the speakers would move the full width of the box. Needless to say, the fine deal I got on these was ruined: woofer supports were broken off completely, end caps with 3-4mm gashes in them, all four grilles bent/torn. A real shame.

That said, even though you're happy with the price, gingerly ask that the seller package it really well.
