Beovox S75's do have a bit loose low-end, but high-end response is way better than my MS150.2's. That will tell more about the 150.2's as the capacitors of 75's are about a year old compared to 28 years of the 150.2's.

I like the S-75's at a moderate volume level when the treble response is balancing bass response, though the tweeters do sound a little dominating at full power.

That has always been what I like least about the S80.2. They sound excellent on a BM5000 so long as the volume is under 4.0 after that the detail and sound balance dtarts to slide into into the tank. The low end more or less sounds like crap abovr 4.8 whereas the S50 will still offer good bass detail and good highs just not a lot in between. For a speaker that is promoted to handle 80 watts contiuous it is a bit of a disapointment.

Can't comment on that comparison, but compared to M100s, they don't have quite the same bass control. Bass notes on the M100 show wonderful detail rather than just a thud.

I am looking forward to comparing them to my S80.2 or even my S50's. I love the bass detail on the S50 whereas the S80.2 has more thud but a better midrange. Hard to compare really. The S50 works best with my BM 4000 or BM5000 but the S80 does much better with my BC7700 and is almost majic with a BM3300.

I dont offer any science to back it up it is just what my ears tell me

You forgot to mention the deal(s) you just cant pass up. That is how I ended up with a complete BS3300 (rebuilt and currently in storage), a BC7700 - rebuilt (collecting dust), 4 BM1600's, 2 BC1600's, (next on the bench), and most recently, yet another Beogram 3000 full working and in good shape, and the 3 Beogram 1700 all working with MMC20EN's bought for less than what a single stylus alone sells for new or used, plus ...... oh nevermind.

I remember the photograph. Congrats on the S75s. Someday I'd like to listen to a pair next to my M70s.

Fronts for the Beomaster 4000 or 2000 with 45's for the ambio. I already have stands or I could always have a set made.

That seems a fair price to me - you will need some stands though - S75s are quite bass rich at the best of times - I had a pair for many years and used them initially with a Beomaster 2400, then a 5000 and finally a Beocenter 9500. When burled, they were taken - shame as they had a lovely flamewood rosewood finish. I did get a teak set later on but they never meant the same to me.

Around here it not too bad a bargain, not great but I have seen them auction for a lot more here in the US. Hell , I have bid higher and lost in the past. In four years I was never able to locate a set locally.
