Sell the cartridge (assuming it is OK) seperately & it will probably fetch more on its own than with the turntable. Offer it worldwide for maximum exposure.

Well, thanks for that Nigel - the figure truly was a 'stab in the dark' actually.

I think Andy is actually in Manchester - not far from me in fact - but No i'm afraid I'm not in the market for a turntable due to the fact I dont have a single piece of Vinyl

Dont quote me on the figure I said mate!! I could well be a mile out, it may not get any bidders at all.

But if it all works as it should, and your lucky in someone wanting that model spots it, you may be lucky.

It certainly is a shame to chuck away any Bang gear if it's still functioning, or can be easily repaired/refurbished.

The only turntable I've ever had was a mint Beogram 9500 with MMC2. Those units are quite sought after, and I got a good price for it - I think it was between £350-400. Then again I've seen other/older turntables going for much much less.

Just put it on ebay & see what happens.

Thanks for the reply, thats more than i thought it would of been worth to be honest so probably worth doing, its that or throw it away (Which seems a waste) so might as well try it and see what happens. Shame it weighs so much as it will be a collection in the Manchester area only which will limit buyers.

I am no expert at all, but I wouldn't think your turntable is worth a great deal unfortunately. If it's in full working order and the stylus is in good order, then someone should buy it - but as for value I couldnt give you an accurate estimate. I wouldnt have thought it was worth much more than £75...(but that is a really uneducated guess though)

One way to find out is just to stick it on ebay, without a reserve, using your good pictures, and just see what the price reaches. I would treat it as a case of 'it's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it'

Hi all, a while ago i posted a request for information on an old model and was advised it wasn't worth that much and to Car boot it (Something i still haven't done yet) but i was advised that the Beogram RX2 could be worth selling it comes with a MMC 4 Cartridge. I have no real knowledge of its value or if its at all rare (I doubt it will be) its been in storage for a good while but the advice i was given last time was very honest and truthful so i thought i would ask again.
