One great machine, though I might go for a CDX

Re: Remote Control

The only option is a CD50 with the optional remote control. The remote was very rarely specified when new and nigh on impossible to find now. Its not just the remote control, the CD50 must have the remote board fitted also. Then you have the fact that the CD50 will break down as they are not that reliable.

You would be much better off buying a CD6500 and a Beomaster 6500. That would enable remote control through either MCP6500, BL1000 or Beo4 plus you can listen to the radio and connect your mp3 player to it.

Remote Control

At the ripe old age of 58 thought it time I started to look at Bang & Olufsen products. I wanted to start with a stand alone cd but it seems without other items the functions seem to be very limited. Is there not a remote to work the stand alone cd player. I rather liked the look of the Beogram cd 6500. They seem reasonably priced on Ebay but of course they dont mention the limitations. Any advice would be appreciated.
