Thanks Peter,

I think it is the PSU - the screen was on one minute, off the next, and failed whilst in use with no warning signs, noise or flickering - as if it was unplugged.......except it wasn't.

If it doesn't sell, I may go to maplins and see if a new psu is a fix.

If it is the power supply (and it could well be - they are rubbish!) then you can get a suitable one at maplins. My screen has also broken but in this case it seems to be the backlight - you can see it is working but only by shining a light at it!! You would get much more for it if it is working - and take a non flash photo so that you can see the good design of the glass going right to the edge!

Should I just throw this out ??
