900RG Compact in Rosewood

I spotted this 900RG Compact radiogram, and decided to keep an eye on it. As we previously discussed, they had a bit if a spike in value about 3 years ago, but even though that calmed down a bit I'd say I got quite a bargain - especially as it's not far away from where I live.

As you may remember, I have some experience of the 900 chassis and the Beogram 1000, so I'm not worried there so much - just wish I still had the spare 1000 that I was keeping for spare parts, but threw away when I was leaving for Russia...

Anyway, it will be arriving one day next week, and I'll keep you all posted. In the meantime, here's a pic of my 'Wyndham' 900K and Beogram 1000 setup, taken a couple of weeks ago during a fettling session to correct out-of-phase phono preamp wiring.

PS: I wasn't so clever in other areas - I let this get away :(

Hello All,

I am new here and looking for some advice.

I am in the USA and have two (2) LC1 Controllers that I am thinking about selling.

They look just the the unit in this post, only perhaps in a little better cosmetic condition:

My daughter has just sold this poster on Ebay (without my knowledge) and has let it go for 2.99 GB pounds!!!

I'm furious with her as I'm sure it is worth much more than that. Can someone give me an idea. It's an original advertising poster that

originates from Denmark and is in excellent condition, and measures approx. 19 inches x 39 inches.

It dates from 2006. It''s silver-printed background with black & silver graphics.

This should go for a lot of money

Hello everyone! Haven't been around here much lately, just been keeping my B&O gear running. A few nights ago, I was doing my usual "beogram" search on eBay for the hell of it, when I spotted this auction:

At first, I wasn't sure what to think. Why hadn't anyone bought it yet? Is there something I don't know about this auction? I looked at the location, and it wasn't too far away. Then I spotted the mention of the Beomaster 6000 in the separate auction. Could it still be there? I checked, and sure enough:

When it rains, it pours...

After a bit of consultation with friends, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on both of them. After some back-and-forth emails with the seller, we agreed on a place to meet to complete the transaction. Once our schedules lined up, we got together at the location, and the deal went smoothly. The seller even threw in an old notebook computer and a box of vacuum tubes as well!

Once I got the equipment home, I took a closer look at it (haven't had a chance to test them). The Beogram 8000 has seen far better days, sadly. The cartridge is missing, as is the plastic part that covers the dust cover hinge mechanism (which, incidentally, appears to be broken, or at least out of whack). However, it seems to be complete otherwise. As for the Beomaster 6000, it seems to be in pretty good shape cosmetics-wise. According to the seller, the power supply is likely at fault. Regardless, I think I did fairly well.

I am considering selling my Beolink 7000 on eBay but I am wondering about the reserve price.

It is in mint condition (really immaculate, not any dent or scratch), perfectly working (red LEDs, dynamic LCD with blue backlight, touch screen, IR transmitters/receivers all faultless), fitted with new NiMH batteries, table top and original docs (but not boxed): therefore I was tinking about a reserve price of EUR 295: do you think this makes sense in the current market?

Not eBay, but this is an on-line magazine store that has also sold through Amazon.

I purchased two rare magazines, with international flat rate postage of $11.50, from this website back in October. The website says allow 8-11 weeks for international delivery. Nothing was delivered. No acknowledgement received of the original purchase. The magazines just came up as sold on the website.

The alarm bells started to ring after getting no responses to emails sent via their website, and then getting bounced messages. Too late to do anything via PayPal who require you to submit a dispute for resolution within 45 days. A query to the webmaster about whether the site owner was still in business got no reply.

PayPal are useless because once the 45 days is up you can't even post a warning to them that they are transferring payments to a potentially fraudulent site, nevermind get a refund (and I am not prepared to ring the PayPal helpline and get charged for listening to music while I wait).
