&lt;p&gt;I had a Beomaster 5000 where the signal strength meter cover was very brown - Tim Jarman assurred me it wasn&amp;#39;t nicotine - just aging of the plastic - no amount of polishing would get rid of it. Good luck with fabricating one if you don&amp;#39;t manage to get a replacement.&lt;/p&gt;
