I have several CDX&#39;s already, so I might go ahead and pull the worst one apart and see if my project intent is even viable before proceeding any further.</p> <p>I was leaning towards sticking with the CDX as the control panel (or part of it) might be re-planted. The CDX was made in the Philips factory but the control mechanism is bespoke to B&amp;O. The laser assembly and DAC circuits are all pure Philips though so I think there should be quite some interchangeability.
