Hi Leslie, the smaller brackets look like they will fit RL60's and maybr the RL45's.

Thanks John, I knew they were ment for RL60's but was not sure about RL45's

Re: WB140 brackets

joeyboygolf:

RL140 or RL7000 had a correspondingly bigger "bracket with hooks" in the box with the speakers.

Meaning that the bracket as shown on the picture is not complete? Got them new in the box

The metal plate with hooks and 4 bolts were supplied with each speaker, when new. This was designed to fit whatever mounting system was chosen such as floor stands, ceiling poles or wall brackets.

RL140 or RL7000 had a correspondingly bigger "bracket with hooks" in the box with the speakers.

There is no problem with mounting any of these speakers on gypsum walls as the mounting plate is designed to spread the load over a significant area specifically for those markets where this type of construction is typically used.

I bought a new pair of RL140 in 1986 and mounted them on gypsum walls as per the installation instructions supplied by B&O. I moved them to my next 2 properties which also, by chance, had gypsum walls and remounted them without problems. I used Rawlplug Intersets which are a type of metal butterfly fixing.

Re: WB140 brackets

On the smaller bracket you have an additional bracket, that one is for fiting on the floorstand, directly on the wall plate or as in your pic, the wall plate is the plate behind the swing bracket, all the same for the 140s, so be sure that, if you sell, that the buyer has the right bracket to connect to the swing bracket.

And tell him to use expanding stell wall plugs, and not plastic plugs when hanging the 140s, and on concrete or solid wood, not gypsom.

Re: WB140 brackets

The RL 60s are 40x50 CM and 9 Kg, the RL 140s are 50x70 CM and 15 Kg, the 140 has an incridible sound, I had a pair here, but just to big for my small house.

Re: WB140 brackets

Hi Leslie, the smaller brackets look like they will fit RL60's and maybr the RL45's.
