looks like all of the items have now found homes, although i'm still waiting confirmation from the buyer of the cabinet on courier costs.

Oh! I am so happy to see somebody going after this!

It kills me when I see this beautiful vintage gear come up "over there!"

I would kill to have a complete teak 2400 setup like that, let alone find one "over here!"

If Leslie doesn't want the cabinet... maybe I could work some crazy deal out with you.

I'm interested except for the furniture. How much you reckon shipment would cost to Holland, for the Beomaster & remote...

I read somewhere on this forum that the 2400-2 perfectly matches with the Beogram 4002/4004. Am I right?

Yes, this is a beautiful and classic system and a perfect entry to owning and collecting B&O.
And the price is more than cheap. I've seen remotes fetch prices near that alone.

Beautiful! Especially on that cabinet!
Good luck with your sale, though I could never bring myself to part with it.
I believe you can make up a battery pack by a mixture of easily available modern batteries.

I bought this last year from its original owner on a bit of a whim but in that time i have barely used it (wife hates the 70s equipment so it was relegated to my study and I can't really justify having 3 B&O hifi's in one room!)

System consists of.....

Beomaster 2400 - amplifier/tuner -

Beogram 2400 - turn table. includes MMC cartridge (with original test certificates from B&O)

Beocord 1900 - cassette player

Ultrasonic Beomaster Remote Control Commander - i believe this is quite rare!

Beovox S-45 Loudspeakers (have foam rot around the bass driver but still work and look superb)

also

Original B&O cabinet (in Teak, matching the veneers on the system itself)

All the original manuals, sales literature and service books, test certificates. All are in MINT condition.

I even have the tiny B&O brush for cleaning the MMC cartridge!

Every item is in top condition. There are a couple of polishing marks to the cabinet and speakers but nothing major.

The bulbs on the Beomaster behind the Bass and Treble controls have blown but this can be easily fixed, I have not tested the Remote control as i couldn't find a battery to fit it (you can buy one online)- i was assured it worked before the previous owner packaged it up. Tape player works perfectly. The turntable plays perfectly.

If nobody is interested then i'll put it on ebay separately but would rather it went as a complete set.
