Hello,

I had to do a battery change in mine. I got the battery from ESP Special Batteries www.espspecialbatteries.co.uk www.cordlesstelephonebatteries.co.uk

it also came with this code 9#9#9 *655

but they suggested if the first code did not work then try some other codes to try were

9#9 * 655 & 9#9#9#* 560

Mine works fine now. Good company to deal with.

hi all,

i am writing to kill this issue.

it turned out to be a bad base! argh!

now i have another issue w/ another 6000 recently purchased on ebay. i thk i may have bought a euro phone (in usa) -based on the the software readout...

does anyone have a list of the correct codes?

my good phones all start w/ 001 and end w/ 2G4

the bad one starts w/ 032 and has no suffix...

hi all,

having same issues w/ a 6000. i installed new battery + cleaned all contacts w/ alcohol as suggested. did the 9#9#9*655, etc...
powered it off, placed it in stand (non pyramid)... it powers on, beeps, but no indicator light on the handset (yes, the light is enabled) -and that is it -won't charge -battery flat.

Ok. I've entered the code, pressed "Ok", and heard the beep. I've tried the phone on all three of my chargers. But, still, the display shows "Flat Battery". Any ideas?

Hi rjpollina, and welcome to the forum.
Your dealer is correct about the code, as soon as you enter the last digit (5) then press the OK button, it should beep.
Perhaps the problem may not be the batteries, but not receiving the charge.
Try cleaning the little brass terminals on the handset and also on the charger with a cotton bud dipped in Isopropanol or something similar.

One of my handsets would no longer charge, so I just replaced all three of my Beocom 6000 handsets with new batteries. But, now that the battery charge has been depleted, they won't charge from my chargers. I called the B&O store and was told that once I replaced the battery, I should enter the code 9#9#9*655 then press 'ok'. Is this correct? The phones worked fine until the charge ran down. Can someone help me with this battery replacement routine?
