My Beocenter 3500 works with just the base of the antenna - the elements had been broken off years ago.

One other fairly off-topic note: I was working on my best BM2400 the other day and was receiving stereo FM signals without any antenna hooked up at all. You gotta love B&O receivers.

I have no experience with a BM7000, but a folded dipole has worked well enough for me connected to the 75 ohm socket of a BM1900, BM2400, and BM4000. Those folded dipoles - and a few other things as well - were purchased from "lazerwave," the seller in the link. "Lazerwave" is a quick shipper and his items are always exactly as described. Have always given top rated feedback on transactions with him.

Correct. Older receivers may have the 300 ohm FM antenna socket as well, with two side-by-side connectors. 7000 doesn't, the similar looking connector is for AM.

I think this round connector is most commonly called PAL in the US. The official name is IEC 60196-2, "IEC antenna plug" for short, and "Belling-Lee" in some places.

I get good results from one of these simple dipole types. Make sure you buy the one with the female connector.

After enjoying my BS 2500/BLab8000 system for years, I just found you folks...was not looking until I purchased a used 7000 system 2 weeks ago. I'm working through some small problems, but you folks seem to have the answers, i.e. BL 7000 no contact = capacitors, Tape deck warble is the brakes...time to get my screwdriver and soldering iron out...

Here is my question, which I cannot find with the search...

What kind of connector does the BM 7000 use for the FM connection? The one from my BS 2500 does not fit. Where can I purchase the connector?
