I have tired it with B & O cable and also with custom cables made by Kelly Smith here in the USA. He makes some very good cables but I wanted to make sure that wasn't the issue. I have a second set of 4000s I think I will try them and go from there.

Re: Beomaster 6500 and Beolab 4000s

Have you tried both speakers? If I use the Speaker 2 out of the 4000 the volume again goes to almost nothing. The minute I unplug the sub volume is restored. I tried going from Speaker 1 to the sub with the same results. Strange isn't it? It is almost as if the Speaker 2 output defeats the volume control.

Re: Beomaster 6500 and Beolab 4000s

Peter,

Yes I had one set to left and the other right but with what you are telling me to come out of the 4000's to the sub takes care of the problem. Or at least it should.

with one to left and the other right? Powerlink cables carry signal for
both left and right and there should be no problem daisy chaining as you
describe. If using a B&O subwoofer, the best way is to connect the
subwoofer to the Beomaster and the 4000s to the subwoofer as the
subwoofer will remove the lowest frequencies which will help the
performance of the 4000s.

Beomaster 6500 and Beolab 4000s

Gentlemen,

I just hooked up my Beolab 4000's to my Beomaster 6500. At first I tried running one Powerlink Cable to the first Speaker and then out of Speaker 2 running a Beolink cable to the second speaker. I had almost no volume. I then hooked them up the normal way, one speaker to one powerlink and it works just fine. But it leaves me with a problem, how do you put a powered sub with the 6500? The 4000 lack bass for my room and I really need a sub. Any suggestions or thoughts?
