Goodness, I really thought after so many years one has to demag the deck/head sooner or later.

Unfortunately I do not have the original set kit and tapes. I do have the factory issued red booklet with all the machines' testschematics. Is this helpfull for my quest for optimal use? The motor oparates within reasonable satisfaction in play, although forward and rewind is sometimes a bit slow... Does that have something to do with the belts or drive, or is this just the tapes being 90 minutes?

Can I stil do something (if needed, is it?) on azimuth control?

It would be worth changing the belts if you have not already done so, and the azimuth alignment is quite easy if you have the original test tape. Otherwise, I would clean the heads and enjoy the music.

demagnetise Beocord 9000

Greetings Beopurists!

Is it recomendable to put in an demag tape into the Beocord 9000?

Does it's self demag capabilities still work after so many years of hard labour?

And do you have any other mantenaince advice for the deck for me?

Sincerly, from a humble but proud owner from Amsterdam.
