I bought one for my wife for x-max, I really like the quality of the sound! And it not only charges all "iTools" like iPad, iPhone, iPod - you can use it with airplay (after connecting an airport express of course) too.

I listened to this yesterday at B&O Toronto and I have to say I'm highly impressed. All of B&O's 'smaller' stuff sounds good, but I was especially blown away by the scale of sound this thing creates. Very lovely, and it works quite harmoniously with iPhone 4 / iPad, and looks great with either!

The salesperson stated devices can indeed charge, and quickly, with the BeoSound 8.

Yeah, the width is actually that of the Beomaster 8000!

It is actually quite big - the width approaches that of the '70s Beomaster 2000 and the Beocenter 9xxx series, for example.
