Not going to work. Bases use two different frequencies. 1.9 ghz in Europe and 2.4 ghz in the US. I would look for another UK base on eBay or buy a used US handset on ebay and sell your European handset.

Using a UK Beocom 2 in the USA

Hi, I hope you can help.

I have a 2003 manufactured blue Beocom 2 which I purchased in the UK a few years back. I was using it in my home in FL for a while with the UK base station, just running through an adaptor. However, my cat chewed through the cable and killed the base, thus leaving me with a dead phone. If I can avoid replacing the UK base with another UK one then that would be ideal, so I purchased a new US Beoline base in the hopes that it may communicate with the phone, minus the caller ID.

Unfortunately, I cannot get the phone to register with the base at all, so do any of you know if this is even possible or if I need to bite the bullet and just buy a US handset?

Thanks in advance,

Dave.
