&lt;p&gt;It sounds like the internal battery might need replacing. See &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://www.beoworld.org/faq_view.asp?id=76"&gt;HERE&lt;/a&gt; which is for the Beocenter 9500 though the 4500 is a similar model. The battery will need to be soldered in.&amp;nbsp; Tons of service &amp;amp; user manuals are availabe from this website but you&amp;#39;ll need to upgrade to a &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://www.beoworld.org/what.asp"&gt;silver&lt;/a&gt; or &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://www.beoworld.org/prize_draw.asp"&gt;gold&lt;/a&gt; member to gain access. Well worth it.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have recently puchased a used&amp;nbsp;BEOMASTER 4500 system, and 
when I went to power it up I noticed there was the word &amp;quot;CODE&amp;quot; appeared in the led panel. I could not do anything. I don&amp;#39;t have a user manual which doesn&amp;#39;t 
help, (unless someone could email me one?). Do I have to input the CODE before operate? Or did the last user setup the CODE and forgot to inform me. cassette decks so you can record tape to tape.&lt;/p&gt;
