&lt;p&gt;It could be the belt but in most cases the symptoms of a worn belt is wow rather than a consistent slow speed.&lt;br /&gt;There are two holes in the black plastic bottom plate&amp;nbsp;through which you can access adjustments for 33 and 45 respectively.&lt;br /&gt;You must use a 2mm flat-bladed &amp;quot;watchmakers type&amp;quot; screwdriver.&lt;br /&gt;If the speed cannot be set right, the adjustments can have gone bad and must be replaced (and readjusted), they&lt;br /&gt;are cheap components and a fairly easy job for your local repairshop if it should come to that.&lt;/p&gt;
