I believe dealers have a software application which enables them to program your remote to work with certain non-B&O equipment. Depending on your relationship with your dealer, it may cost you nothing, a nominal fee, or some standard fee. Not having a Beo5 myself, I don't know what the charge is for this. The Union Square dealer has their Beo5 working with an Apple TV unit, so I know this is definitely possible.

Beo5 Programming Help Needed (SF Bay Area)

Not sure if this is the right place to post, so mods, please move it to the proper place if this isn't it.

We have a Bang & Olufsen Beo5 remote that is currently programmed to control our Beosound 9000, which it does well. However, we would like for it to function as a universal remote to control our TV (Samsung), DVD (Samsung), Reciever (Onkyo) and possibly our Dish Network reciever and as an on/off for our Spark fireplace.

Basically, we'd like to consolidate 6 remotes down to 1 (the Beo5).

I understand that the Beo5 is coded to control other Bang & Olufsen equipment only at this time, but there is a hack that allows it to control non-B&O equipment.

We don't have a lot of money to put towards this project, but if anyone with experience and interest in helping out is available, we would be willing to pay a reasonable fee to have them come out and get this set-up for us.

Please PM me with interest/references/credentials.

Thanks,
