If so, and if it does not move when the arm is angled. the light detector is not working. Could be the bulb or could be the detector circuit. If you are not experienced in electronic repair, do what I would do and send it for service!

Re: Help needed TX Turntable

Well it will not move with the cartridge removed so is it possible to go any further or do I need to send it in for service? Once over the record, push the cartridge arm slightly inwards - does it track across the record? It should do! If not, the detector mechanism is broken and is not sending signals to the motor.

Re: Help needed TX Turntable

After further review the arm will move when playing a record but you have to continuously tap on the rear arm carriage. The small belt and pulley work flawlessly when moving the arm except wen a record is playing.

Help needed TX Turntable

I took mine out of storage and before I tried it I did get some contact cleaner on the arm screw threads and the arm will not move when playing a record. I tried to move the threaded rod by hand while a record is playing and it will turn. I pushed down a couple of times on it and it turned for a few revs and stopped. I would like to know how to clean it and does it need any kind of relube.
