Ok - I just tested mine, and that's what it's supposed to do. I thought it made a clicking sound but it doesn't. I'm afraid I don't know then. Try rebooting it - unplug it for a while and try again. Of course you'll have to re-enter the PIN #. If that doesn't work it's got a more serious problem.

there is no click or anything on MUTE button. just Display goes rom e.g. 30 to -- and back if I press MUTE again.

Any way to release this?

Try pressing the mute button. If you don't hear a clicking sound, could be it's stuck on mute.

same -no sound - from headphones...

Any other ideas would be highly appreciated.

Plug an earphone into the 3200 (output located in front on the bottom right). Do you get sound? Not a good thing if you don't.

Dear all,

I´ve got a used Beosound 3200 and linked it to 2 new BL3 Speakers. The speakers are working - used them with a Pioneer receiver before (on the Pre-Out). The BS 3200 switches the BL3 on (light turns to green) and a very silent noise comes from the speakers, but no music. Volume is set to 30 and also tried with 40 already. PIN Code was correctly entered and is now switched off.

I do not know in which setup it was running before, but think it was a stand alone Music system (with BL8000).

Hope you here in the forum have any good ideas...
