&lt;p&gt;I am using a step up transformer on my BL2500 since 8 or 9 years. Since the BL8000 draw much more power I would probably get this done by the dealer. If I recall correct it is actually quiet complicated to take the BL8000 apart, if they are old or your here just for a limited time a powerful step upmight be cheaper.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you do go the transformer route, just note that there are regulated (for electronics) and unregulated (for hair dryers etc). Don&amp;#39;t use unregulated. Amazon has some.&lt;/p&gt;
