S means Spherical etc
THIS page my give you an idea.
Since the output of the Beocenter 7000 is 30 watts, I can't see a problem with attatching the 1802s to it. Not sure what the specifications of those speakers are though.

Thanks for this as I didn't realise the Beocenter 7000 had it's own amplifier. Do you know if the Beocenter 7000 is compatible with the following stylii:

MMC20CL
MMC20CL
MMC20EN
MMC20E
MMC20S

Also, is the Beocenter 7000 compatible with beovox 1802 speakers?

If it is indeed a Beogram 7000 record deck then there will be a RIAA (phono pre-amp) conflict as both the Beomaster 5500 & Beogram 7000 have them fitted. The only real way around this (without disconnecting one of the RIAA's) would be to connect the turntable to the AUX input of the 5500 which would lose you the remote control function.

Ideally you should buy either a Beomaster 6500 or 7000 which would both be a better cosmetic match. The only difference between these 2 Beomasters is the addition of RDS on the 7000.

I'm longing to get my Beocenter 7000 turntable up and running. I have found Beomaster 5500 amplifier for sale at a reasonable price. Does anyone know whether the two are compatible?
