To seek/scan radio stations and program presets using a Beo4 you basically have to fool the system.

Follow these steps:

Add V-SETUP to your Beo4 (read manual of Beo4 on how to do this if you don't know). V-SETUP should be available when you press LIST repeatedly.
Press RADIO on Beo4 to turn Beosystem in Radio mode
Outside of reach of your Beosystem 7000 (either shield the Beo4 IR transmitter with your hand, or walk out of the room) press TV on your Beo4. Your Beo4 is now in TV mode; the Beosystem 7000 is still in Radio mode.
Back in front of your Beosystem 7000, press LIST until you find V-SETUP. Press GO and your Beo4 will display TUNE.
You can now directly define a frequency (e.g. for 96.8Mhz, you press 968) or you can scan by pressing arrows up/down. Your Beosystem 7000 will show an F on its display.
When you have found a frequency you want to store, press on LIST repeatedly until you see STORE, then press GO, then the preset number you want to use for this frequency (the Beosystem 7000 will now show that number on and off on its display) and then press GO once more. Your preset is now stored in the Beosystem 7000.

Hopefully others will have more tips on how to use the Beo4 with the Beosystem 7000.

For the Timer LED, press both buttons together on Master.

Mute and Step.

To seek press GOTO and UP or DOWN on BL1000

To store any station press STORE (example 1) STORE to store on station 1

I now have the BeoLink 1000 and Beo4. These helped me to get a gifted Beomaster 7000 to work, but I have very limited functions available with this unit. I can scroll through the radio presets, change sources & volume, and power on/off.... I can't seek/scan FM or change to AM. There are also some (4) LEDs that never work. The "Timer Off" is always on. The "Locked" light is on a lot too, but I think that means I am locked on the old radio stations. This unit sounds great! I would like to seek/scan the radio stations, or at least program my own presets. Do I need to buy the Beolink 7000?!?$$$

Help Please!
