Mine has a new battery set in - we used the 1000mAh ones from Maplins as the original batteries are 600mAh or similar. We were not sure that the charger would like the types available now - 2000mAh and higher - so chose the smallest value available. They work perfectly. I have done this successfully - as have other beoworld members.
