You link Source and connection and potentially external IR together. It is fairly simple. I use TV for my Apple TV, DTV for my Wii (I think havent used it in ages) and DVD for my BC2.

Cheers

JK

Re: Beovision 8 via Beo4

Thanks JK, I have copiously downloaded the manuals from the B&O site for the BV8, and they seem to be geared to the EU version of the television. Regardless of that, they were somewhat unclear as to HOW the mapping takes place. Obviously, you choose sources, but it's unclear how the "TV" button on the Beo4 gets assigned to a cable box, etc. Maybe the US version has slightly different programming.

Re: Beovision 8 via Beo4

TV in this case is just a source, I have linked it to my Apple TV I think.. So yes it should be linked to one of the AV connections, preferable where you have your cable tuner since this is supposed to be used rather then an internal tuner.

Cheers

JK

Beovision 8 via Beo4

For all the US Beovision 8 owners out there... Can you enlighten me on some basics of TV operation?

Since the US BV8 has no internal tuner, what exactly happens when you press "TV" on the Beo4? Does it get programmed to one of the AV connections on the back panel? Or, when you want to watch lets say cable TV which is connected via a cable box to one of the back panel connections, do you press another button on the Beo4?

I apologize for the simplicity of the question, but since the BV8 has no internal tuner, what would pressing TV do? Ideally (I hope this is the case), I can program the BV8 to operate my TivoHD by pressing TV alone, and all the Beo4 keys can be mapped to TivoHD operation.... OR would the "TV" button be of no use to BV 8 owners?

Thanks, and the wait continues!
