The software update was a full software update along with the new puc list. I have already requested my local b&o to install the old version and i am waiting to hear back from them. Also, beocare has reported this problem to denmark and they are suppose to get back to me with the resolution.

Re: Beosystem 3 software 4.17 problem

FAS,

I had a similar problem where I upgraded a BS3 that was connected to a Fujitsu screen. The problem happened when I did the full upgrade not just the PUC library. For some reason when I fully updated the BS3 it would either do the no picture thing you described or it would make the picture oscilate (move up and down). Call your dealer to see if they our equipped to flash the system back to 3.10a only this time when they do it ask them to only flash the PUC library with an update. This was the only way I could get it working again on that particular screen. Good luck.

Beosystem 3 software 4.17 problem

I recently took my BS3 to B&O dealer for software upgrade from 3.0 to 4.17 and to add few additional devices in the puc list. After the software upgrade I can't get any picture thru beosystem 3 to my sony bravia screen. I can see beosystem 3 menu if the source that i am selecting on beo4 is not turned on (for example PS3). If i turn on the source then i see a gray screen and don't even see system's menu. Everything is connected with hdmi cables and I have no problem getting sound.

I had no problem using the sony screen when software v.3.0 was installed. I am going to call beocare tomorrow to troubleshoot the problem. However, in a mean while does any one has any idea what is causing the problem.

Thank you in advance,

FAS
