Bang & Olufsen introduces the BeoVision 4 Plasma HDTV with Automatic Color Management.

The new B&O Plasma is an upgrade to the current BeoVision 4 with the addition of an integrated camera and software that measure the color balance of the screen and adjust it automatically to compensate for aging phosphors.
The patented Automatic Color Management technology from Bang & Olufsen makes it possible to compensate for this aging process by adjusting the color temperature. After every 100 hours of viewing, or as often as one wishes, a short mechanical arm with a camera eye at the end swings down from behind the aluminum frame (This can only be done by B&O, crazy cool stuff!) and measures a test picture that appears on the screen.
Within seconds, the color temperature is analyzed and adjusted to ensure consistent color reproduction even after thousands of hours of use over the years.

Additionally, the BeoVision 4 features the patented Automatic Picture Control technology, which adjusts the brightness of the screen according to its placement and the lighting conditions in the room. Through an optical sensor on the top of the frame, the screen measures ambient room lighting then automatically dims or brightens itself to deliver the optimal viewing experience for those conditions.

The BeoVision 4 is available in 50 inch and 65 inch with full 1080p HD resolution.

BeoVision 4 with Automatic Color Management and BeoLab 10 comes in silver, black, red, blue, and dark grey and will be available in all Bang & Olufsen showrooms by March 2008. MSRP $13,500 for the 65 inch screen, $7,500 for the 50 inch screen, and $4,000 for BeoLab 10.

Non Yann, l'exercice va du 1ier juillet au 30 juin.

La BeoLab 10 est je crois la nouvelle enceinte centrale de forme triangulaire proposée pour les plasmas de grande taille.

Elle est équipée de la lentille acoustique et ressemble à l'enceinte de l'AV9000.

Une photo est postée sur le forum général.

Elle a été annoncée au CES de Vegas ces jours-ci il me semble.

Peter Petersen de chez B&O a également parlé de la nouvelle calibration d'image.

Pas de nouvelles du BeoSound 5 car apparement B&O travaille encore dessus.

Une photo "teaser" postée par Philippe dans un topic du forum français est dispo.

La future chaine serait entièrement numérique (pas de lecteur CD) et serait basée sur des commandes tactile (roue de navigation nouvelle génération) pour contrôler la musique numérique stockée.

La "nouvelle technologie" de traitement d'image est juste une calibration, comme expliqué dans le forum général :

A intervalles réguliers (fixés par l'utilisateur, ou le revendeur s'il a pris sa commission de 800€ pour paramétrer ta TV après achat...), un bras se déploie du dessous du BV4. A son extrémité, une caméra filme l'écran qui pour l'occasion affiche une mire spécifique. Ainsi la TV connais quel est le rendu de la dalle et ajuste les couleurs, la luminosité et le contraste pour que tout soit constant quelle que soit l'évolution de la dalle dans le temps.

Plus gadget qu'autre chose à mon avis. Tout dépend de la différence de prix à payer entre un BV4 normal et ce nouveau BV4.

A l'origine TBS avait parlé du printemps pour le Beosound 5... [:'(]

Cette BeoLab 10 serait-elle une "grosse" BL7-4 ? Certains se plaignent que cette dernière ne fait pas face aux BL5...

Quant à cette nouvelle technologie de traitement d'image, je suis tout aussi curieux ! Cela ne ferait pas de mal de prendre encore de l'avance avec la gamme plasma, quand on voit les prix hallucinants que B&O pratique...

Si je ne me trompe pas, B&O clôture son exercice comptable le 31 Mai, donc les nouveaux TV et la BL10 sont annoncés pour le printemps et le BS5 pour l'été... enfin la rentrée compte-tenu des retards traditonnels.

La nouvelle vient de tomber.

On aura bien droit en 2008 à la BeoLab 10, au nouveau traitement d'image et la nouvelle chaîne numérique.

Voici un extrait du rapport financier que B&O propose en page d'accueil de son site officiel :

"Product launches

In the second quarter, Bang & Olufsen launched a new software based remote

control, Beo5, which can be configured according to the individual customer’s

requirements. In addition, the mp3-player, BeoSound 6, was launched. Finally,

in collaboration with Samsung, Bang & Olufsen launched the music mobile

phone, Serenata.

The Group will launch a new loudspeaker, BeoLab 10, for large screen TVs in

the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter will also see the launch of new patented

picture calibration technology, which will further differentiate the company’s

plasma TV portfolio. Work on a new groundbreaking digital audio concept

continues in the Group. This is expected to be launched in the beginning of the

coming financial year."

Donc, la BeoLab 10 et la calibration de l'image pour le 4ème semestre, et malheureusement, le "BeoSound 5" s'il s'appelle comme cela pour l'année prochaine !!

Je crois que les année fiscale au Danemark sont les mêmes qu'en France, cela correspond à une année civile.
